Currency, taxes and resort fee
The hotel currently publishes room rates calculated in USD, but payments processed in BSD, including credit-card transactions. Your bank’s exchange rate and charges can differ; confirm processing currency before authorizing payment.
Its policy currently publishes a 21% tax and a 16.5% resort fee per room, per night that itself includes 10% VAT. Do not add these percentages into a homemade formula. Request the final all-in total in writing for your dates, with each charge identified.
The policy says the resort fee covers gratuities within the Baha Mar enclave and named amenities, including WiFi, fitness-center access, airport arrival-lounge access and non-motorized water sports. It separately describes food and beverage, including in-room dining, as subject to a 15% service charge and 10% VAT. Ask how these descriptions apply to your written quote and folio; do not assume dining charges disappear.
Guests and room configuration
Occupancy, child ages, extra guests and category can change the quote. Cribs and rollaways are available only in select categories; request exact beds and current charges rather than relying on an old extra-person price.
One published example is the Ocean View Two-Bedroom Suite: a one-bedroom suite with a king bed connecting to a deluxe room with two queen beds, with a separate lounge, two private balconies and a fully equipped kitchen. Keep the selected rate’s conditions
Deposits, cancellation deadlines and minimum stays vary by stay period and rate. Advance Purchase currently requires full prepayment, non-refundable on cancellation or amendment, and a two-night minimum. Before accepting a quote
Can I calculate the final total from the published percentages?
No. Ask the hotel or advisor for an itemized all-in total for your exact dates and occupancy. The published percentages are context, not a guaranteed calculation; rates, taxes and fees may change.
Does a USD quote mean my card is charged in USD?
The hotel currently says payments, including credit-card transactions, are processed in BSD. Ask your bank about conversion and foreign-transaction charges before paying; its exchange treatment may differ from the displayed quote.
Does a connecting suite remove extra-guest questions?
No. Confirm the booked configuration, permitted occupancy, every guest’s age and bed arrangement, and any additional charges. Published connecting accommodation is an example, not confirmation that it is available for your stay.
Can I combine an offer with Rosewood Elite benefits?
Do not assume stacking. Ask for written confirmation of the eligible property, rate, dates and inclusions. The linked public offers restrict combinations; an advisor-channel quote must state its own terms and availability.
